The Fundació Joan Miró was created in 1975 by Miró himself, at first mainly with works from his own private collections, with a desire to set up an internationally recognised centre in Barcelona, to promote research and studies on Miró and contemporary art, and to disseminate his collection.

Opening hours:

From Tuesday to Saturday

From October to June From 10 am to 7 pm
From July to September From 10 am to 8 pm

Thursday From 10 am to 9 pm
Sunday and public holidays From 10 am to 2:30 pm
Closed on Monday (if not public holiday)
